Wolfenoot 2020 Season Wrap Up
Hello my darling pack!
I just wanted to drop a quick line here to let you all know that I finally waded through all the admin from last year’s Wolfenoot season, and have now sent off our donations to al but one of the five chosen organisations (and that one is in the works; it is just a little trickier to do because of where it is – I am in touch with them and we are working on it though!).
In total we raised NZ$1500, so each group got NZ$300 out of that.
International postage kind of killed us this last year. I think that without the rise in postal costs we’d have done a lot better BUT I still think that’s a pretty solid effort given all the obstacles and difficulties of 2020.
We have learned a lot! Every year we do this, we make mistakes and learn to do it better the following year, so I look forward to 2021 being even better!
Over the next month or two, we are going to be dramatically reorganising our website and merch situation in order to make it more accessible for you, but also to make the admin easier on me. As Wolfenoot has grown, the ad hoc systems I put in on the fly in that first year have become less and less effective. We’ve been doing a lot of talking and reassessing and planning on ways to take this thing up a level and be a bit more proactive about putting things in place to make it work better.
So keep an eye out for that!
For now though, please join me in just taking a moment to be proud of what we have achieved so far. I am endlessly astonished and humbled by the fact that this silly idea my kid had has turned into an international movement of good and kindness that just keeps growing.
I love you all so much. Thank you for taking this crazy journey with us.
